The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Fighters Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of heroes, and a exciting storyline showcasing divine entities, fiends, and dark forces expanding in influence within the city.

Heads-up: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

Episode 3 ended with a huge suspense moment and presented the initial group of heroes who will separate from the main group to undertake their separate journey, separate from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team consists of the determined fighter (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

With a large ensemble, it was clear from the start that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

Hence, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, weaving together the characters’ stories before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Strategists, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a typically action-packed battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are rare.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might look unsuited, but the events of episode 3 show why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

First, the party understands precisely where to head next after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose passing started the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the rogue, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

Casimir then settled his obligations and ran away to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each character has a personal reason to exit the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in Timmony and cautions that it is a dangerous location.
  • The strong character and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute the fighter and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could help the team enter places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, Teor pledged a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him anywhere.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that rule the city for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by the family.

This leaves them few options but to journey toward the northern region in pursuit of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

Based on the latest episode’s post-show segment, we learn that the warrior group won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight players to assemble the Seekers and Schemers tables.

Audiences can anticipate discovering which players will be in which group in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
